What is a Brain Tune-up?

What is a Brain Tune-Up?

It’s a way for children, teens and adults to overcome difficulties with concentration, memory, organization, attitude, anxiety coordination and motivation.

Who benefits?

Professionals, students, athletes, musicians, dancers, seniors, and anyone needing a boost in mental power, motor agility or social  skills.

What’s the process?

First, come in for a screening to see if you are a candidate for our therapies. If so, you begin a series of simple and fun sessions  at our clinic keeping precise beat to rhythms or in your home listening to beautiful music.

How long does it take?

The Interactive Metronome™ (IM) program is a series of 10-12 forty-minute sessions at our clinic. Sound therapies are conducted over a four-month period in the comfort of your home.

Why do Interactive Metronome’s precise rhythms work so well?

New brain research stresses the importance of brain timing for a person’s performance, functioning, well-being and ease. When a person moves to rhythms with one-millisecond feedback for 40-minute sessions, the timing centers in our brain that govern body movements, intelligence, emotions and social interactions come into synch.

IQ increases of six points on average have been measured with students.

Why is the modulated music of sound therapies so effective?

The music is scientifically engineered to exercise and develop the brain’s language, timing, and sensory centers which govern communications, emotions, intelligence, attention, and motivation.

What are the other benefits?

Other measured benefits include increased sports skills language skills, improved self-confidence, and a decrease in anxiety. Case studies show that it can chase the blues away for some people.

What does it cost?

Our screening is free. The programs are  packaged for affordability. Call 734.620.3381 for our prices.

Other services we offer

We offer a wide range of occupational therapy services for children and adults.
